Blooms & Swirls Holy Communion Cake

Katia celebrated her First Holy Communion on Sunday overlooking the water at Le Montage. What a perfect autumn day it was.

Such a beautiful and elegant venue and the cake was made to match.

You cannot tell from the picture, but this cake is LARGE! It easily fed 170 people some tasty cake delights.

Katia's mum Caterina came to see me and loved the Christening cake I had made for my sister and wanted something similar but with blooms. So the top tier had little blooms in hues of pink cascading down the sides. The bottom tier was covered in shimmery ivory swirls and the embossed middle tier had an oversized rustic open bloom.

The bottom and top tiers are white chocolate raspberry mud cake with white chocolate ganache.

The middle tier is chocolate mud with dark chocolate ganache.

50 "K" cookies to give out to the kids. The cookies were a mix of butter and gingerbread cookies.

Congratulations Katia and May God always Bless you!
